His Holiness Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche (1924 - 2011)
His Holiness Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche (Ngawang Chokyi Lodeo ) is revered as one of the most learned and respected living masters of the Tibetan Buddhist Nyingma tradition, and he is also an accomplished practitioner with profound knowledge and experience in Tibetan Buddhism.
His Holiness Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche is the heart son of His Holiness Kyabje Dudjom Rinpoche and His Holiness Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse rinpoche, who of the most respected Dzokchen master of the last century. As a holder of several key lineages in Tibetan Buddhism, His Holiness Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche is also one of the His Holiness Dalai Lama’s main masters.
According to the Nyingmapa historical testimony, His Holiness Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche is the 31st reincarnation of Dzarong Trulshik Shatrul Rinpoche. Since the time of Lord Buddha, he has taken continuous rebirths as several prominent masters and practitioners to benefit in India, Nepal and Tibeat. His most notable predecessors are:
Ananda-one of the ten main disciple of Buddha Shakyamuni
Thonmi Sambhota- the inventor of written Tibetan characters
Lotsawa Vairochana-one of Guru Padmasambhava’s 25 disciples, The first great translator of Buddhist scriptures from Sanskrit to Tibetan
Rechungpa- Milarepa’s disciple
It is prophesized that His Holiness Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche will be the 1,000th Buddha in the current Bhadra Kalpa (or the fortunate Aeon), during which time all those connected with him will accomplish Ultimate Liberation.

H.H. Kyabje Trulshik Yangsi Rinpoche
The reincarnation of His Holiness Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche was officially recognized by His Holiness the 4rth Dotrupchen Rinpoche.
Yangsi Rinpoche was born as the son of Maratika Rinpoche and mother Urgyen Dolma at Maratika, where every year Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche would stay for a 2-month retreat.
Kyabje Trulshik Yangsi Rinpoche has now also been welcomed by the sangha of his main seat, the Dzarong Thupten Donga Choling Monastery, where he did a brief enthronement ceremony. During this event many of his close disciples and more than 4 thousand devotees gathered and received blessings.
Yangsi Rinpoche is strongly connected to Maratika Monastery and is often there for visits and longer retreats.
